Job Description: A highly successful packaging artwork, origination and project management company working for Clients including Britvic, Unilever, Marks & Spencer, and Cadbury are expanding their portfolio. They require a number of candidates to fill Senior Project Management positions across Europe including Belgium, Paris, Bremen, Madrid, Milan, Oslo, Stockholm and Athens. The successful candidate will work within a busy trading category, acting as the interface to the UK based packaging project management and production team. This demanding role requires an individual with impeccable presentation and communication skills who can illustrate their experience in “cradle to grave” project management in packaging, including a sound understanding of print technology. Ideally they would already be from either the retail / FMCG markets or print / packaging industry. A consistently professional approach of the highest standards is absolutely essential for this appointment with a minimum of 5 years experience. The candidate should ideally originate from one of the countries in question but be fluent in English and the local language.

Skills Required : Project Management skills and experience essential. Technical Experience within the print industry. To be fully conversant in the use of MIS (Management Information Systems). Training will be provided. Strong organisation skills along with multi tasking. Great communication skills – written & verbal. A good team worker. Client facing experience essential. Strong attention to detail. Flexible, hardworking and ambitious. Full drivers licence and own car desirable. Additional Information: To act as the Client interface on European specific packaging brands. This will mean raising artwork briefs on Client systems, liaising with the relevant Client departments in order to get the accurate information. Briefing and jointly managing all projects through the Client workflow. Create and publish critical paths, update and re-publish where necessary and keep Client and printers updated. Arrange & chair pre-production meetings with Client, designers, printers, suppliers and be able to discuss designs on a technical level. Ensure design agencies are keeping the Client in the communication loop – set up design concept meetings and ensure the Client sees designs at the earliest stage. Manage full production workflow externally: Specs received & submit through Technical / Legal process, through to final proof sign off. Manage/requesting cutter guides & technical data, ensuring that the cutter guide database is kept up to date. Ensure the internal PMs have all the information they need when handing over the projects. Collate artwork comments & liaise with all parties to agree an approved design to take forward to repro. Present artworks to the Client & printers, track & chase final approvals from all approvers. Hold regular update meetings with the brand & activity managers, QS and technical managers to understand all forward loading and new project requirements. Chase and take ownership for ensuring that the projects transition through the workflow is on time and as planned. Prioritise and communicate at all stages. Attend weekly production meetings and update managers with latest forward loading information, workload for the week and any changes to the previous weeks forward loading. These meeting will be via teleconference or Webex with the Client’s Head Office. Liaise with the Clients at all stages. Ensure that Client expectations are always managed and escalate issues as soon as they arise in the appropriate manner. Keep all other internal administrative duties up to date and completed on time. Forward loading, status reports. Assist the Account Director & Account Manager in all duties for successful running of the account. Ensure that service levels are in accordance with the published KPIs and SLAs. Develop and build on new and existing relationships with design agencies, printers and suppliers through regular contact and meetings. Become involved in the strategy for taking the relationship with the Client forward, in all aspects. Identify and pursue long term service and ownership opportunities while continually striving to improve quality, timings and value for money. High level usage of MS Office, Macintosh & MIS systems essential. Provide press attendance and sign off.
